Moffett’ Hangar One
This is a cause worth supporting. Seems there is a possibility that Hangar One, a 1930’s era airship landmark near Mountain View will be razed by the U.S. Navy over questions of structural soundness and potential pollutants within the structure.
Moffett is no longer under Navy control, but the Navy is still tasked with cleaning up the site as needed.
Hangar One should be preserved. It’s a beautiful example of a long gone era in American history. We are too quick in America to destroy the visible signs of our past.
I drove past Moffett a few years ago, and Hangar One’s shining grandeur looked even more beautiful in the California sun than I remembered. Check this site for more detailed info.
